This community initiative address healthcare disparities among vulnerable living in institutional care facilities. These facilities provide long-term care for individuals with limited functional and cognitive abilities, many of whom face significant health challenges.
Residents often experience limited access to healthcare services, coupled with pre-existing medical conditions, and the emotional and physical stress of institutional living. These factors contribute to severe health disparities, putting them at greater risk for preventable illnesses.
Through this project, we aim to improve their overall well-being by providing essential vaccinations. Fund raised will directly support a flu vaccination program, ensuring high coverage and reducing the prevalence of seasonal influenza. By protecting these individuals, we enhance their quality of life and contribute to better long-term health outcomes.
