TREATMENT Doctors-On-Wheels (DOW) is a community initiative that makes subsidised and free medical treatment available to needy elderly patients, residing in 1 and 2-room HDB rented flats, in desperate need of care. Operating from a van equipped with a mobile dispensary, SATA CommHealth is able to reach out to patients who have minimal resources for transport or medication. DOW operates from Wednesday to Friday every week to treat acute medical problems, monitor chronic ailments and provide health education to enhance the quality of life for our needy elderly.

TB Awareness Programme With the falling incidence of Tuberculosis in Singapore, SATA CommHealth has adopted an advocacy role to actively raise public awareness of the disease.  We have an existing partnership with the TB Control Unit (TBCU) of Tan Tock Seng Hospital through our sponsorship of the DOT & SHOP Programme.  To encourage underprivileged TB patients to complete their directly observed therapy (DOT), supermarket shopping vouchers are presented to them upon completion of their 6 or 9-month treatment programme.
