    Foot Problems in the Elderly

Foot and Ankle problems in the elderly are common both affecting patients biomechanically and also in terms of deformities. As we age and the collagen levels in the muscles tendons and ligaments decrease, stiffness causes more joint issues and deformities to worsen leading to altered biomechanics and tendon and joint pathologies. Dr Ananda, a foot and ankle Orthopaedic Consultant surgeon will speak on strategies and ways to manage and prevent common foot and ankle issues from leading to debilitating symptoms.
