Common Questions Before Your Screening

1. What documents should I bring to the clinic?

Please bring your passport or travel document, and any IPA letter or medical examination form issued for your application. For Work Permit forms, the travel document must be produced for identification.

2. What tests are usually included?

The required tests depend on the form, but MOM states that the medical examination for migrant workers screens for tuberculosis, HIV, syphilis and malaria, and checks whether the worker is fit to work.

3. Do I need to book an appointment?

Please state your clinic’s verified process clearly here, for example whether walk-ins are accepted, whether booking is recommended, and whether chest X-ray services are available at all locations.

4. How long will the visit take?

Please publish a verified average visit duration so applicants can plan around work, travel, or employer deadlines.

5. When will my report be ready?

Please display your verified report turnaround time clearly, including whether timelines differ for screenings that require imaging or additional lab tests.

6. When should the medical examination be completed?

MOM states that certain Work Permit holders who are not required to undergo the Onboard programme must complete the medical examination within 2 weeks of arrival in Singapore, depending on their category and care arrangement.
