Sustainability at SATA CommHealth

Sustainability at SATA CommHealth

At SATA CommHealth, we are committed to building a sustainable future. Guided by the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles, we integrate sustainability into every aspect of our operations. From green initiatives to socially responsible programs, we actively work to reduce our carbon footprint and contribute positively to the community. Our Board provides oversight on ESG matters, ensuring that sustainability is part of all decision-making processes. By embedding these practices into our culture, we aim to create lasting impact—protecting the environment, supporting society, and strengthening the way we operate.

SATA CommHealth recognises that our energy consumption and the resulting GHG emissions contribute to climate change. As such, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint while remaining open to opportunities that support our transition to a low-carbon organisation. Our goal is to minimise our environmental impact while building operational resilience to create long-term, sustainable value for our key stakeholders. We take a balanced approach to effectively managing and mitigating the environmental impacts of our business operations.
Our emissions are measured in accordance with the GHG Protocol. Below is a summary of our Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions over the past two financial years:

ESG Goals for Environment
  • We aim to decrease energy consumption intensity per episode of subsidised care by 5% over 3 years.
  • We aim to decrease Scope 1 GHG emission by at least 25% over 3 years as we convert to a full EV fleet.

Note: We will use FY 2024 as the baseline. Scope 1 exclude fugitive emissions.

We operate a fleet of mobile medical vehicles, including Singapore’s first electric medical bus, bringing essential healthcare services directly to seniors and vulnerable communities. These mobile clinics provide screenings, vaccinations, and basic medical care, serving as a convenient one-stop platform for preventive healthcare.

As part of our sustainability journey, we are committed to transitioning to a fully electric fleet by 2026. This initiative supports our efforts to reduce carbon emissions while continuing to deliver accessible and community-centred healthcare.
