Themin was appointed a director of SATA CommHealth in June 2018 and Vice Chairman in June 2020. He chairs the Audit & Risk Committee (since 26 June 2024) and is a member of Investment & Finance Committee and Governance & Nominating Committee. Current/Past Occupation A/Prof of Accounting (Practice) Themin Suwardy is the Associate Provost for Postgraduate Professional Education at SMU, with oversight responsibilities for all SMU Masters programmes across with an intake of over 1,400 per year. Prior to joining academia, Themin was an auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick. He started his academic career at Monash University, Australia. Themin joined SMU in 2001 and has served as Associate Dean, School of Accountancy (2002-2013), the founding programme director of the Master of Professional Accounting (2006-2016) and Dean, PGPP (2016-2020). Current/Past experiences with Charities/Corporates A/P Themin is an active member of the accounting profession through his extensive involvement in numerous professional bodies over the years. He was accorded Republic of Singapore’s Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2011 for his contribution to education. In 2015, he was conferred the Lifetime Achievement Award by CPA Australia for his significant and distinguished service and contributions to the accounting profession.
