    Volunteer Management Policy

    Volunteers with SATA CommHealth are ambassadors for the organisation, and must present a positive image to beneficiaries and the community. While representing us in rendering community-based services, volunteers are expected to observe the following:

    1. Confidentiality

    Volunteers are expected to maintain the confidentiality of all proprietary or privileged information to which they are exposed to while serving as a volunteer. Volunteers are strictly prohibited from sharing confidential information about other volunteers, employees, patients/clients of SATA CommHealth

    1. Photography/Videography

    Volunteers have to seek prior permission with our Corporate Communications Department before taking any photographs or videos

    1. Professionalism

    Volunteers have the responsibility to conduct themselves with high standards of professionalism and uphold the image of SATA CommHealth at all times. They are also expected to report to work punctually and follow the dress code for volunteers or as advised by the supervisors. All volunteers are to pay attention to proper communication within the organisation and externally; they need to be courteous, sensitive and speak carefully in order to evoke positive outcomes and maintaining cordial relationships

    1. Absenteeism

    Volunteers are expected to be reliable and responsible individuals. When assigned with duties, they must fulfill their obligations and if they are unable to perform their duties, must inform their supervisors at least 3 days in advance

    1. Volunteer Supervision and Evaluation

    We conduct performance evaluation of our volunteers to ensure that we can deliver quality service as an organisation to our beneficiaries/clients

    1. Harassment and Abuse

    We are committed to provide our staff and volunteers with a working environment that is safe and secure as well as free from violence, threat, bullying, intimidation and harassment. Any such acts or abuse of staff, volunteers or clients/ patients/beneficiaries will not be tolerated.

    1. Ethical Behaviour

    Volunteers are expected to treat everyone with respect and compassion, just as you would like to be treated. We will respect the privacy and individuality of others and would not solicit nor receive gifts from clients/ patients/ beneficiaries or their families.
